Acusensus addresses speeding behaviour in the state, with the Mobile Speed Camera program in NSW utilising Acusensus’ Harmony solution.
In mid-2021, Acusensus launched an innovative enforcement camera program in Queensland to detect both illegal mobile phone use and seatbelt non-compliance. This program, the first of its kind globally, uses fixed and trailer-based Heads-Up solutions to capture clear, prosecutable evidence 24/7 in all weather conditions.
Acusensus utilises our Harmony TS1 transportable solutions for anywhere, anytime speed enforcement across regional, rural and metropolitan QLD. This initiative commenced in 2023 and is still in operation.
Announced on 8 January 2024, with operations starting on 19 June 2024, Acusensus began a program in South Australia utilising fixed installations of the Heads-Up solution to detect illegal mobile phone use while driving across the state.
In February 2023, Acusensus launched a program in the ACT deploying mobile device detection cameras to combat distracted driving from mobile phone use. This initiative aligns with the ACT Government’s Vision Zero strategy, aiming for no deaths or serious injuries on Canberra’s roads.
Starting January 2025, Acusensus Multi-function Enforcement solutions will be deployed in Western Australia to simultaneously detect multiple road safety violations, including mobile phone use, seatbelt non-compliance, point speed, average speed and unregistered vehicles. This is the first time all of the Multi-function solution’s capabilities will be deployed in a single enforcement program.
